Start with an answer of your own

A score is useful only if you understand the work behind it. Before asking for feedback, attempt the question without copying a model answer. For a calculation, include the steps and units the task asks for. For an explanation, write the links between your points rather than just a list of terms you remember.

In Revvio, choose a small set of topics and a session length you can finish thoughtfully. It is easier to act on feedback when you can connect it to a particular piece of reasoning.

Review one part at a time

Read the part, then your response, then the marking underneath it. A green highlight identifies text credited in the marking output. It does not mean every nearby statement is correct, and the absence of a highlight is not automatically proof that a sentence is wrong. Some evidence cannot be matched confidently to a unique span of text.

For a multipart question, finish this review for part A before moving to part B. Look for a dependency: did a later result go wrong because of an earlier value, or is it a separate misunderstanding? Treat a review warning as a reason to check the scheme or ask a teacher rather than a mark to accept unquestioningly.

Turn an improvement into an action

A note such as “be more precise” is too broad to guide your next attempt. Translate the feedback into something observable. For example: include the direction of a force; link a material property to the proposed product; or state why an algorithm terminates for the given input. Keep the action tied to the command word and the marks available.

  • Identify the missing point or inaccurate step.
  • Compare it with the expected answer for that part.
  • Rewrite only the section that needs changing.
  • Attempt a fresh question later to check whether the change transfers.

Use formatted maths to make the reasoning readable

Fractions, powers and subscripts can help distinguish expressions that look ambiguous on one line. Use the formatting controls to insert them and check the preview. Keep required units clear, and distinguish the working from the final numerical answer when the question asks for both.

Formatting is not a substitute for explaining a method. A neatly typeset expression can still use the wrong relationship or omit the assumption that makes a result valid.

Keep a check outside the app

AI feedback can be inconsistent or mistaken. Use your course specification, official exam-board material and teacher guidance to resolve important uncertainty. Do not treat a practice percentage as a prediction of your final grade. The more useful outcome is a concrete explanation of what you changed and why.

Revvio keeps the question, your response and its feedback together so you can return to that explanation through the saved session. If you are choosing a workflow, visit our revision-tool comparisons or check the current subjects and planned access.
